Disgusting Hypocrisy

El 14 de diciembre de 2012. Hola. There was a shooting incident at an elementary school today in the State of Connecticut (Estados Unidos/U.S.). The latest count is 20 children and 7 adults dead (including the gunperson).

La Casa Blanca resident appeared later in the day and said, “our hearts are broken today.” The corporate media fell for his act by saying he appeared to be visibly upset. What gullible people!

Have the useless corporate media in the Estados Unidos/U.S. never heard of the number of children, adults and pregnant women this muchacho has killed with drone strikes? He’s never said, “our hearts are broken today,” for those deaths from his drone strikes. Apparently the corporate media is unaware of those deaths, or don’t care about them. Those deaths are “good killings” and the deaths in the elementary school are “bad killings.” That’s the message sent.

It’s disgusting hypocrisy and I and others didn’t fall for his pretending to wipe away phony tears or his hollow, empty words. The words he spoke today were as meaningless as his, “Hope and Change We Can Believe In” bull shit marketing slogans of the 2008 campaign. This muchacho is a walking Public Relations machine. It’s all about his image over substance and to dupe the sheep (who are extremely easily duped). This muchacho is absolutely shameless and has no conscience, otherwise he would not continue down the same path at an even faster pace than his predecessor (see information about that below).

I haven’t noticed any tears coming from this muchacho when innocent children are killed by his drone strikes in Pakistan, for example, and other countries. For example:

Secret US Drone Program Still Getting Away With Killing Children
“Even as the Presidential candidates sparred on October 11, 2012, President Obama had already authorized his 297th drone strike since taking office, it was the deadliest one in 2012, killing 17 people, the second strike in less than twenty four hours in the area. In the aftermath of the strike the Foreign Ministry of Pakistan said the strike was a “clear violation of international law and of Pakistani sovereignty”. As has been the case, for the hundreds of other strikes the objections made by Pakistan, a country against which the United States has not declared war, they were ignored.”

Joe Klein’s sociopathic defense of drone killings of children. Reflecting the Obama legacy and US culture, the Time columnist says: “the bottom line is: ‘whose 4-year-olds get killed?'”

Killing Civilians: Obama’s Drone War in Pakistan. Illegal, Unethical, Violating Sovereignty and the UN Charter
“As regards civilian casualties, on August 11, 2011 a report of the Bureau of Investigative Journalism said, “The Guardian published some of the pictures, we have obtained…as many as 168 children have been killed in drone strikes in Pakistan during the past seven years.” While rejecting the CIA’s false claim, the report disclosed, “It is a bleak view: more people killed than previously thought.”

168 children killed in drone strikes in Pakistan since start of campaign
“The strikes, which began under President George W Bush but have since accelerated during the presidency of Barack Obama, are hated in Pakistan, where families live in fear of the bright specks that appear to hover in the sky overhead.”

And this from the World Socialist Website:

School shooting in Connecticut leaves 27 dead, including 20 children
“Obama is the first US president to openly claim the right to select and order assassinations, including of US citizens. The ruling elite prosecutes an unending series of wars and military invasions, with hundreds of billions of dollars going to the giant killing machine. How could any expression of violence in the U.S. today be entirely “incomprehensible”? At home, the U.S. population is subjected to a culture of violence, not only in the form of police shootings and brutality, but an assault on democratic rights. While the financial elite continues to amass record profits, growing numbers of working families are plunged into poverty.”

This man in La Casa Blanca has no problem killing innocent children (and others) with drone strikes yet he pretends to be tearing when he speaks about this school shooting situation. He was most transparent and superficial with his staged emotions to anyone who has paid attention to his droning record. It’s reprehensible and disgusting, and hopefully many people didn’t fall for his “emotional” antics of conveniently turning on tears and pretending to wipe away the tears. It was a very low, cheap stunt.

I suppose this man’s True Believers fell for his acting performance today and gushed over it, but if the same stunt had been performed by his predecessor, the True Believers would be highly critical of that. Yes, the True Believers are as hypocritical as their “savior” in la Casa Blanca whom they worship. Chau.—rosa barrio
