With all the problems in this world, they’re concerned about their nails

Hola a todos. Nail Salons. What is it with nail salons? When did they become such a hot item? When women became more bougi, superficial, shallow, and needy to have their hands and feet touched? I suspect women would tell me, “I just want to look nice.” You need paint on you to “look nice?” Or is that more brainwashing from the Cosmetics Industrial Complex? Well, you can “look nice” without looking like an (oversized) Barbie Doll. It’s a case of too little, too late. I first noticed nail salons when my area of San Francisco tried to become bougi and elitist. It didn’t work. But that’s when nail salons moved in to my area for the Millennial baby stroller crowd and others. California just had its highest COVID-19 infection rate day so far on 12 June 2020, and now I read that nail salons will start to re-open on 19 June 2020. Sounds like a wonderful idea to me. [sarcasm intended] Yes, keep re-opening as the infection rate rises. Needy females can’t do their own damn nails? And to begin with, the chemicals in most nail polish are not good for the body. But I suspect most people couldn’t care less about that, just like they couldn’t care less what they eat. And if you’re following the COVID-19 health guidelines and are sheltering-in-place, who is even going to see your nails at home (with your hair up in curlers)? Or when you’re wearing plastic gloves in the grocery store? And you’ll have shoes on your feet in a store so who is going to see your fucking nails in the first place? And if you’re at work, you’re supposed to be distancing 6′ from other employees and who is going to pay attention to your finger nails at that distance? Ludicrous. But I’m comforted to know that the nail salon nazis can stop screaming about not being allowed to reopen and — with all the problems in this world — that their concern is about having the luxury of doing their fucking nails!
