Hola a todos. I thought readers might enjoy watching two pieces for flute and orchestra performed by Clara Andrada de la Calle and hr-Sinfonieorchester. Clara is one of the principal flautists in the hr-Sinfonieorchester/Frankfurt Radio Symphony. They are one of the finest orchestras en el mundo/in the world and one of my favourites. They have a gorgeous string section; one of the finest you’ll hear anywhere. They have two rotating principal flautists. Clara and Sebastian Wittiber. Although in one performance I have seen another female flautist as principal flautist when neither Clara or Sebastian were there. From scanning the comments under the video for the Nielsen, two weeks ago as of this writing orchestral management said, “Clara Andrada is one of our two principal flutists!” Maybe the female flautist I saw recently whose name I do not know was filling in for either Clara or Sebastian in a performance. Clara is also principal flautist in the Chamber Orchestra of Europe, so she’s rather busy. She seems like the nicest person. Very down-to-Earth, humble and modest. Traits, in my opinion, that in part define a true artist. Sebastian gave Clara las flores/flowers at the end of her performance. Very nice of him. They don’t seem like rivals — which can be the case when two or more musicians hold the same position; but that’s often based in immaturity I think — but rather amigos/friends.
